Game results (guesses, win/loss) and optionally a display name for the player leaderboard. No email or account is required to play. If you choose to join the leaderboard, a random device ID and your chosen display name are stored. Game progress is stored locally in your browser (localStorage).
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. With your consent, Google may use cookies to show personalised ads. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies via the banner shown on your first visit. We use Google Consent Mode v2 to respect your choice.
When you submit a score to the leaderboard, we store a random device ID (generated in your browser), your chosen display name, game type, points earned, and the date. Your display name is shown on the public leaderboard. You can use any name — no real name is required. Prize claims additionally store an email address you voluntarily provide.

You can clear all local game data by clearing your browser's localStorage. Leaderboard submissions are anonymous and cannot be individually deleted.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which games are popular, how visitors discover the site and where players come from. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymous — we never see individual user behaviour or personally identifiable information. With Google Consent Mode v2 active, no analytics cookies are set unless you explicitly accept them via the consent banner.
Wordlio is suitable for all ages but is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to opt out of personalised advertising, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because Wordlio collects no email or account data by default, the only data subject to these requests is leaderboard display name and prize-claim email if you voluntarily submitted one. Email us to exercise these rights.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time as the site evolves or as legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 30 days.
