The daily Wordlio game gives you one word. That's intentional โ the one-word limit is part of what makes it a daily ritual. But if you want to practise a new strategy, warm up before the real game, or just play more without consequences, Practice Mode gives you two extra words every day.
Practice Mode is available at wordlio.fun/practice.html. Every day you get 2 practice words โ different from the daily game word โ with the exact same mechanics: 5 letters, 6 guesses, colour feedback, the full keyboard.
The words refresh at midnight alongside the daily games.
Testing new opening words. If you want to switch from CRANE to SLATE as your starter, practice mode is where to try it before risking your streak. Play both practice words with your new opener and see how it feels.
Warming up. Some players play a practice word first thing in the morning before attempting the real daily game โ a 3-minute warm-up to get into the pattern-recognition mindset.
Just playing more. If you've already finished the daily word and want another one, practice is the answer. The two-word limit keeps the daily habit structure intact while giving you more to play.
Teaching someone. Practice mode is perfect for introducing a new player to the game โ they can play it without affecting any competitive numbers, with no pressure.
The practice page shows a counter (Practice 1 of 2, Practice 2 of 2) and two dots that fill as you use each word. When both are used, the page shows how long until the next reset and links to the daily game and challenge feature.
Practice state is stored in your browser alongside your daily streak โ no account needed.
